Eucalyptus Vs. Cotton – Why Eucalyptus is the Fabric of the Future?

With so many diaper sheet fabrics to choose from, it’s hard to know which material would give the babies or diaper users a fabulous feeling.

What’s the difference among eucalyptus, and cotton fabric? Which would come out on top for comfort?

Here are the similarity and difference between eucalyptus and cotton sheet.

1. Softness

Both eucalyptus and cotton sheet are soft to the touch.

2. Coolness

What about the cooling features? Both these 2 material are breathable, but eucalyptus has the added benefit of being a fabric that feels cool to the touch.

 3. Dryness

Eucalyptus is moisture wicking, and cotton is moisture absorbing. That means eucalyptus do you any favors at keeping the bottom dry.

 4. Health

Cotton isn’t a hypoallergenic fabric. But tencel (can also be called lyocell, which is made from eucalyptus trees) is hypoallergenic as well as antifungal and antibacterial fabric. That mean it helps to decrease the symptoms of any allergies or sensitivity you might have for mould, dust mites, mildew, or odor.

 5. Environmentally Friendly

Tencel is the superstar in this category. Eucalyptus grows quickly and easily, which makes it a sustainable alternative for diaper sheets. Plus, eucalyptus fabric don’t require harsh chemicals to the extent that other fabric materials do.
