Diaper changing is important for babies, since it helps prevent irritation and diaper rash.
However, for many new parents who have no experience with children, problems happens when they are changing baby’s diapers,
even if they follow the instructions on the diaper packaging.
Here's the steps new parents need to know about changing baby's diapers.
Step 1: Place your baby on a clean, soft, safe surface, a changing table is preferable
Step 2: Spread the new diapers
Put the baby on the changing mat, spread out the new diapers, and erect the inner frills (to prevent leakage).
Put the diaper under the baby's buttocks (to prevent the baby from pooping or peeing on the mat during the replacement process),
and keep the back half of the diaper on the baby's waist to above the navel.
Step3: Untie the dirty diapers, open up the diaper and clean your baby
Step 4: Throw out the dirty diaper
Step 5: Wear new diaper
Grab the baby’s leg with one hand (don’t grab it too high to hurt the baby’s waist),
and wipe off the dirt on the baby’s buttocks with a wet tissue to prevent urine from forming a red butt
(if the baby already has a red butt, It is recommended to wipe it with wet paper towels and dry paper towels).
Separate the baby's legs and gently pull up the front of the diaper to adjust the alignment of the front and back sides.
Step5: Stick the adhesive tape on both sides
Step 6: Check the tightness and comfort of the side leakage prevention strip
